The Alpinestars Andes jacket is a waterproof touring jacket with an outer shell constructed from advanced reinforced poly-fibre for optimum abrasion resistance, internally the jacket has a Drystar membrane which is both waterproof and breathable; there is also a long sleeve thermal liner which is removable. During warmer weather, air flow can be maximised by opening the zipped shoulder vents and rear exhaust vent. Protection is taken care of by CE approved Bio-Armor to the shoulders and elbows, there are also pockets for a chest protector and back protector; as standard, these pockets have poly-foam padding inserted.
