Dainese was formed by Lino Dainese in 1972 and are based in Vinenza, Italy. Whilst they produce protective clothing for mountain biking and downhill skiing, they are best known for their motorcycle clothing and protection. They are the originators of the "head-to-toe" protection focus, which is the combining of motorcycle clothing alongside extra rider protection. The creation of the Dainese Technology Centre (D-Tec®) in 1993, which is dedicated to the study and development of protective products, is a sign of their commitment to innovation. Producing a large range of motorcycle leathers suits, gloves, boots, and protection for both men and women, Dainese is a brand trusted all over the globe.
